If the pensioners miss the life certificate submission deadline, pension disbursal is stopped from next month onwards but will be resumed as and when they submit the life certificate. Its rather inconvenient when the disbursal is stopped. Even more inconvenient sometimes when you have to go out and physically get the life certificate done. So, here is the procedure how you can submit the life certificate online as detailed out by the author in the article below. Team RetyrSmart
Make your life simpler by submitting your life certificate online
Here’s how you can submit life certificate online:
You need to download the ‘JeevanPramaan Application’ on your PC/mobile phone. The app is also available at the Jeevan Pramaan portal. Note that the pensioner is required to provide Aadhaar number, name, mobile number and self-declared pension-related information like PPO number, pension account number, bank details, name of pension sanctioning authority, pension disbursing authority, etc.
Once the Aadhaar authentication is complete, you can download a PDF copy of the certificate from the Jeevan Pramaan website by providing the Jeevan Pramaan ID. The digital life certificate is made available to the pension disbursing agency.
It is worth mentioning for pensioners below the age of 80, life certificate can be submitted from November 1 to 30. And for senior pensions, aged 80 and above, the department of pension and pensioners’ welfare has allowed to submit life certificates from October 1 instead of November 1 earlier. The deadline for super senior citizens is also November 30.
If the pensioners miss the deadline, pension disbursal is stopped from next month onwards but will be resumed as and when they submit the life certificate.
